some recent work...

I have begun experimenting with how I can show my textures and patterns in
my internal spaces... i am finding it very difficult to draw the
experience that is in my head!

I have put my plans aside for a while and focused on the internal experience.
I am still having terrible difficulties with my internal planning, my
entrances and my void! I have locked in a couple spaces that I am happy
with and working around them at the moment.

So great to see Lauren! The watercolour is really good. It is a good idea to escape form the planning for awhile. Maybe try adding a little more depth to the drawings, stronger dark and light. Another tip is to show the light source, whether natural or artificial. The internal elevation would read better as a section i think, would give the impression of being underground and provide a greater sense of space. The brick patterns are beautiful, keep thinking about the potential of the material. Bricks can be pulled out, pushed in, glazed, recycled, acid washed, placed on angles etc. Even think about the mortar. It is amazing how small details can change a space. You are getting really good at drawing what is in your head, keep going!
